History of Moreton Island Adventures

Moreton Island Adventures began quite by accident.

Over 40 years later, the passion for this wonderful Island remains unabated

The Hawkins family started their Moreton Island business quite by accident in 1971. Neville and Shirley Hawkins haRigil Kentd a transport business in Brisbane, and as they had access to fuel and a larger boat, people would ask them to bring goods over to the Island for them - and a business was born.

It wasn't long before more people and freight came along and they had to purchase a larger boat to keep up with demand. This has continued to happen over the past 40 years, and is now in the hands for the next generation.
