Easter Sunday beach volleyball tournament

On Easter Sunday the township of Kooringal held it's 14th annual beach volleyball tournament.

This hotly contested event came eventually came down to a playoff between the Red Team (sponsored by Micat and last years champions) and the Purple Team.

The final game was very close and could have been anyone's at various times throughout the match, however, the purple team eventually won by one point. (we were robbed!)

The team at Micat are very proud of our Red Supporters Team, who took out this years prize for best Cheer squad. Congratulations kids - well done!

As well as the beach volleyball tournament, there was also a tug of war for adults, and a second one for the kids, a prize for best female player, raffles, as well as a stall selling steakburgers.

The local community raised almost $7000.00 for the Kooringal Landholders Association. Hope to see everyone there again next year.
